Reference Librarians are available to instruct students on library services and resources. Sessions are custom-designed to meet course needs.
We offer:
- Research Overview Workshops (usually 1 session/about 1.5 hrs. of class time)
- Comprehensive Research Workshops (2-3 sessions/about 3 hrs of class time including hands-on instruction).
Your students might also benefit from tutorials:

- Understanding Information Sources
- Finding and Accessing Information Sources
- Finding Scholarly Information on the Internet
- RefWorks tutorial
- and library scheduled instruction workshops.
Faculty may request Library Instruction for their classes via email or with the electronic request form.

Special research topics, research methods, information resources, etc. you would like included in the workshop (online catalog, databases for your subject, tour of the library, internet searching, RefWorks Citation Manager, plagiarism, etc.)

Information Literacy Skills
Students should be able to:
1. Recognize and articulate the need for information
2. Identify and use a wide variety of information sources
3. Select and use online catalogs, databases, and the Internet to find and retrieve information
4. Access and use information ethically and legally
5. Analyze and evaluate information
