A variety of memorabilia from the University Archives is on display in the first-floor lobby and living room of the Blagg-Huey Library--including photos, uniforms, dresses and more. Curated by Women's Collection staff in conjunction with Homecoming 2011, these mementos provide a glimpse of TWU campus life--and the fashion and hairstyles--of bygone days. One of the more eye-catching items on display is this evening gown donated to the Women's Collection in 2005 by Sue Percifield Ball, TWU alumna. Ms. Ball, class of 1960, was a participant in the Redbud Festival for two years and represented TWU at Southern Methodist University's Manada and Rice University's Rondelet. The full, floor-length, soft tulle evening gown in watermelon pink was purchased at Nieman Marcus in Dallas as a present from Ms. Ball's grandparents.
The gown and numerous other items from the University Archives are on display for a limited time, and are available for viewing during regular library hours.
